A return and then gone.

One of my first blog posts that I ever wrote featured Toronto artist Alastair Dickson. I saw his work in a store front window along Danforth and new I had to speak with him. That same shop window has been empty for

over a year now and every time I walk past I still think of his work.

A few weeks ago, walking along Danforth, I noticed those beady eyes, crooked grins and bizarre Frankensteined bodies as I approached that same shop window. They had returned? No these were new and just as unusual as the others. Badminton birdie collars, suspender clasps, old wooden doll arms and legs, corks and old bits of leather all carefully assembled into creatures that could live happily in Alice's Wonderland.

I went by again to have another look but they are already gone from that shop window.
